Cake Pulls for New Orleans Weddings and Southern Weddings, How to Bridesmaid Luncheon and How to Bake the Cake with Cake Pulls
One of my great cake pulls customers asked me a question about HOW TO use cake pulls at a bridal, bridesmaids' luncheon or shower. So I thought that I would share with you what we did when my daughter, Paige, got married. All of the ladies at the bridesmaids' luncheon really enjoyed the cake pull. Here is what we did with the cake pull tradition, and here is WHY we did it.
The cake pulls were already nested in the cake and the cake was presented as a focal point at the beautiful luncheon that my sisters gave for my daughter. The charms were INSIDE the cake and the ribbons were hanging down. Here is an example of what the cake with the cake pulls looked like at the luncheon (but not her actual cake) You can see that the cake below, displaying our current cake pull set, is beautiful and is a focal point for a bridesmaids' luncheon. You can even see our very special proprietary knots at the end of our cake pulls cascading on to the beautiful table. These cake pulls are 8" long and that is our most popular length of cake pulls in our etsy store.

Here is what we did:
1. The bride take the lead and asks the bridesmaids to join her at the cake.
2. The bride explains to the group, that these bridesmaids are very special to her. This makes the bridesmaids feel very special and important.
3. The the bride takes each bridesmaid, one at a time, and introduces the bridesmaid to the group, giving a short background on the bridesmaid and how the bride knows her. At that time, the bridesmaid is asked to pull one cake pull from the cake. The bride then reads the meaning card, that goes with the cake pull that the bridesmaid pulls. OUR cake pulls have very sweet meanings, and they are NOT fortunes. Our meanings are designed to uplift the spirits of the bridesmaids AND the group that is at the luncheon. (NO mean charms and no mean meanings here!)
Your group will enjoy meeting all of the bridesmaids and everyone at the luncheon will now have icebreakers to talk to each other about. This cake pull tradition will bring your group closer and create memories for everyone.
HOW to prepare the cake with the cake pulls:
1. Remember that the cake pull charms are nested in the frosting, and not BAKED in the cake.
2. Bake the cake first, and then place the charms in a place where the frosting will cover them up.
3. Frost the cake.
4. The ribbons will hang down, out of the cake, like the image above.
Have fun creating everlasting memories with our cake pulls.

Here is one of many reviews that we have for our cake pulls. Visit our etsy store and you can read more reviews!
I received the cake pulls quickly and everything was beautiful, from the gold bubble wrap down to the pretty gold bag that contained the cake pulls. I loved the charms and the beautiful red ribbons. Carla, the owner, helped to make my wedding day and my surprise for my bridesmaids even more special and perfect! I would highly recommend Carla and her store to anyone that needs anything for their wedding or bridal shower or just something fun and different to do for an occasion!
