So, there are other alternatives for WHERE your Hip New Orleans Second Line Parade will be. Some couples have the parade INSIDE the reception venue. You can have the parade inside your reception hall, and/or around your reception hall. So, if this is what you decide, I recommend that you check with your reception venue first.

Congratulations on being the Mother of the Bride!

Planning a second line parade is a very exciting time for you, your daughter, your family, your future son-in-love, and his family.

After all, a second line parade usually is the link between the wedding, and the wedding celebration. The second line parade says, "Hooray! They are married, let's celebrate!"

Planning a second line parade is really very simple.

Step ONE:  Decide WHEN you want your parade: do you want your parade to begin as soon as the wedding is over and parade to the wedding reception venue? Or, do you want your second line parade to begin when the couple has finished taking their pictures? Or, do you want the second line parade to begin when the couple exits the reception and is on the way to their honeymoon? For mother's of the bride, my advice is this: decide when you want the second line parade to begin, and, then, ask the couple when they want the parade to begin. That way, the couple will know your feelings, and, it will help the couple to make a great decision. As, many time, the couple is already so overwhelmed with decisions that this small act, deciding WHEN the second line parade starts, really, really helps them. After you decide WHEN you want your parade to start, you can go to STEP TWO. Step two, will be in a future blog post, here, on this blog.

Today I am really busy working on a rush order. Our production time, for your beautiful personalized Hip New Orleans Second Line Handkerchiefs is 6 to 8 weeks, plus transit time. But, we do take rush orders, as, we understand that sometimes Second Lines can be a last minute add on to a wedding or fun event. (this was the case with our son's wedding too!) For this reason, we offer rush orders. And, today, that is what I am working on. Today is a great day for me. I was able to send all of the couples, who have current orders with me, an update on their orders. The update included where I am in the process of creating their Hip New Orleans Second Line Handkerchiefs. All of the orders have the fabric cut, and some of the orders had the custom art created, and some of the orders have the custom art printed, cut, and ready to print.All of the orders will ship well before the promised ship date. I love being able to ship the orders way before I promised them.

Our Hip New Orleans Second Line Handkerchief Creative Sublimation Process

Our Creative and Sublimation Process to Making Hip New Orleans Second Line Handkerchiefs

Today. a bride asked me about the process that I use to create Hip New Orleans Second Line Handkerchiefs. I thought that maybe you would like to know also. I use a fun process called sublimation.

Here is  a link to what sublimation is, and, it is not as complicated as the link suggests.

Basically, I custom design art and personalize the art with your personalization, using my computers, a Mac and a PC, and computer aided drawing tools, like Illustrator and Corel Draw.
Then, I size the art, mirror/reverse the art,  and print the art, using a professional sublimation printer,  on a special sublimation paper. Then, I cut the art into individual sheets. The art is then placed on our exclusive fabrication handkerchiefs and I press it , twice, with a heat press at 400 degrees.  This transfers the color by way of gas, not ink. The results are beautiful, and have a similar look to screening, but much softer hand (feel). I can use this same process to create cake toppers, bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, flasks, signs, charms, clocks, jewelry, name tags,  and cake pulls.

The Cake Pull comes from the old tradition of “ribbon pulling.” In the Victorian days, charms of luck and good fortune were hidden in the wedding cake by the bride for her single friends.
